Week One - Using Computers

Today is my first day of doing the UPC004. In the lecture we learnt about what we are going to be doing in the coming weeks, and the tools we need to complete this unit. In the Tutorial we learnt how to screen capture a certain image for our blog and by using imageshack.us, we learnt how to paste it into our blog in html format. As I already know how to do these tasks, I did not find it very helpful, but a lot of other people were unsure on how to do it so to them it was very helpful.

Reading 1 - PC Lube & Tune
This article was about a service station and convenience store that has been running since Feb 1994 on the National Information Highway. Their objective is to supply usable subjects to the large audience of computer users.

Reading 2 - How Stuff Works
This article was about how technology works and how it is used in our everyday life and that the word 'technology' does not just mean computers. It informs us on how a PC works and includes diagrams to give the reader a better understanding.
